About the Artwork
Pahurehure Inlet is one of Nicole’s plein air paintings which she later refined in her studio. It shows the Pahurehure Inlet which is part of Manukau Harbour and was painted at the waterfront in Conifer Grove, a neighbourhood located in Takanini, Auckland, New Zealand. Nicole painted with oils, mainly with the brush and applied some delicate palette knife marks.
Mary Hargeaves Award
In 2023 Pahurehure Inlet received the Margret Harveys Award at an exhibition in Nelson, New Zealand.
