Boulder Bank from Nelson Harbour

Boulder Bank from Nelson Harbour is one of Nicole’s plein air paintings which she later refined in her studio. Nicole painted the artwork at the end of the Nelson Port by an abandoned building of the Talleys fishing company. Needless to say she was still picked up by a security camera and the security guard arrived soon in his security vehicle to check out what she was doing. “I guess he was satisfied that my work was good enough and allowed me to continue painting.” The painting was done is oil and mainly with the palette knife.
