Photos of Watercolour Painting on Rabbit Island, NZ

We had to take the ferry, a rather “unique” looking boat, to cross over the channel and then had a total of two hours before being picked up again. While painting a weka stole one artist’s sponge and declared it non-edible. Then one of us placed their chair on an ants nest. So we can claim some animal encounter, right?! So much fun!.

Photos of Plein Air Painting at Old Wharf Rd, Motueka

It rained! Some artists were already painting in beautiful weather when I arrived at Old Wharf Rd to paint the old shipwreck, Janie Seddon. Unfortunately big black rainclouds followed me and the rain came along fast. However, it was good fun trying out setting up in the boot of my car and it worked. It was just a bit awkward with the brush in one hand and the umbrella in the other. I have to think about a better solution.…
