Photos from Plein Air Painting at Washbourn Gardens

Plein Air Painting at Washbourn Gardens turned out to be a bit of a surprise when we found most of the beautiful flower empty. The council workers were still there, flattening out the beds for the next crop. Never mind we still made due with painting trees, bushes, the workers or the old historic jail. Photos of Plein Air Painting at Miyazu Gardens, Nelson

Last Wednesday's plein air painting at Miyazu Gardens, Nelson, was challenging and lovely. The wind was blowing so strongly that painting with a free standing easel would have been interesting. Most of us were satisfied with a little sketch or watercolour painting. Still, the wind managed to blow my materials around and I had to run after them like a spooked chicken.
