The beauty of watercolour journaling is that you create your paintings just for yourself. Your journaling book represents your memories, places that you have been to, and experiences. You look at your little painting and remember more about the location where you created it than a photo will ever be able to do. The watercolour journaling class started yesterday and we went to Washbourn Gardens, Richmond. The weather was perfect and the flowers were stunning.

Today's plein air painting at the McKee Reserve started with a gloomy and overcast morning until suddenly the cloud cover opened up and the sun streamed in. Bush Reserve was a beautiful start to our plein air painting season this year. The sun was shining and the temperatures were rather mild compared to the heat of the previous weeks.
