Kiwi Classics Collection – Edmonds Baking Powder

This Edmonds Baking Powder tin was loaned to me for the painting by an artist friend. She painted it in watercolour and you can see her photo below. It's a very old tin and not available any more on the marked, which makes it even more special. Edmonds Baking Powder is number seven in the Kiwi Classics collections. Kiwi Classics Collection – Tinned Spaghetti and Tomato Sauce

Tinned Spaghetti in Tomato Sauce is definitely something to get used to. Don't think of Italian spaghetti. It might look similar but the taste and texture is very different. My family likes to eat it hot on toast and it's best when it's heated in the oven with cheese sprinkled over it. Tinned Spaghetti and Tomato Sauce is number six in the Kiwi Classics collections. In fact these were the questions I had when I started to paint regularly: Where do I sign? I have seen artists sign in the bottom right hand corner or in various other parts of their work. 5 Stages of Representational Painting

Ross Whitlock, a well known Nelson artist, once said to me that we are all self taught artists, no matter what art education we chose throughout our artistic career. It’s true, a teacher can give you guidance and may speed up the process a little, but it’s only through practice that you can develop into you own artist. Consequently we feel sometimes a little wobbly on our creative path and wonder if we are going in the right direction. Then…
