Guest Speaker – Plein Air Painting and Travelling with a Sketchbook

When: 3rd September 2025, 7pm Where: Putangitangi Greenmeadows Centre, Stoke Organiser: Art Group Nelson Guest Speaker: Nicole Russell The Art Group Nelson has invited me to do a talk about "Plein Air Painting and Travelling with a Sketchbook". You will have the opportunity to view my sketchbooks and some of my plein air paintings. You will be shown my materials and easel set up. Also, you can watch me paint during a live painting demonstration. Everybody is welcome!

Nelson Lighthouse and Naked Ladies

Nelson Lighthouse and Naked Ladies (Amaryllis Belladonna) is a very special painting to me. The perspective is unusual, especially how you look up at the flowers called "Naked Ladies" (Amaryllis Belladonna).
