Plein Air Painting, 6th March 2024, Lake Rotoiti, St. Arnaud (RSVP!!!) 

Please join us for plein air painting on Wednesday, 6th March 2024 at Lake Rotoiti, St. Arnaud. First we will paint at the lake, then have lunch at the Alpine Lodge (75 Main Road, St. Arnaud), and afterwards we are invited to visit Jan Thomson at her Korimako Studio (10 Range View Road, St Arnaud). Jan Thomson does wonderful watercolour and acrylic paintings. 

Drivers/share a ride:

Please let me know asap if you would like to be a driver or share a ride with someone and I will pass on the information. I’m a driver and have Carolyn and Angela sharing a ride with me. I can fit one more artist.

Meeting Point:

All of us will meet at 9:30am at the Wakefield Bakery, 12 Clifford Road, Wakefield (“Wakey-Bakey”). From there we will drive to Lake Rotoiti and set up at the quay.

Please let me know if you are joining us. We want to make sure that everybody is accounted for before leaving Wakefield Bakery.

Please bring:

Please bring your painting supplies, a chair, bug spray(!!!), sun screen, morning tea/lunch, good weather and maybe a swim suit…

If you have any suggestions on where to go for plein air, please let me know and I will include it in the list. Lake Rotoiti was one of the suggestions. Founders Park, Hidden Sculpture Gardens, 88 Valley Road (Trevor Marshall, autumn), Gravity Vinery (autumn) are on the list.

Plein air is scheduled for every Wednesday morning, except the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Please contact me if you like regular updates by email.
