The Mapua Community Library is currently showing my artwork. It is a lovely little library, independent from the big libraries around us and solely run by volunteers. Because I’m a local artist the team invited me to exhibit my paintings. The Mapua Easter Fair is back and the Members of the Mapua Art Group (including myself ;-) ) have been invited to exhibit their paintings. The Autumn Exhibition at the Nelson Suter Art Society is in full swing. The exhibition is gorgeous and guess what, my painting "7am at Java Hut" has been hung in the entrance! I met with a small group of artists at a beautiful private property called “Silvan” in Richmond (NZ) and we set up our easels around the lake. The wharf in Mapua, New Zealand, is a lovely place to visit. Apart from the historic wharf itself you find galleries and restaurants. The typical fish & chips and ice cream are also available. And you can watch boats sail past, such as this little one. The boat is called “Molly” and is a goat island skiff (in case you are curious).
