Plein Air Painting, 22nd March 2023, end of Staples Street, Motueka (“the Kumeras”)

Meet us for plein air painting on 22nd March 2023, 10am, at the end of Staples Street, Motueka. The area is also known as “the Kumeras” for the fields you drive pass used to be Kumera fields (now cattle). Directions: coming from Richmond drive through Motueka. After leaving the township turn right on Staples St. Drive to the end until you reach the car park by the beach.

Please bring your painting supplies, a chair, bug spray, sun screen, morning tea/lunch and good weather.

Plein air painting is scheduled for every Wednesday morning, except the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Please note, we won’t meet if the weather is not accomodating (rain or strong winds).

Please let me know if you have any suggestions on where to go for plein air painting. The Kumaras was one of the suggestions.

For regular updates on plein air painting contact [email protected].

Mark your calendar!: In two weeks we are planning to go to St. Arnaud and we will be car pooling. Paul and Nicole have offered to drive and we will need RSVP to see how many people would like a lift. More information on meeting point, etc. will be published next week.
