The Riwaka Wharf was one of the most beautiful plein air painting areas that I have ever been to. We had the choice between boats, batches, boat houses, islands and the Richmond hills in the background. This time I painted with oils and stayed small (6x8"), which allowed me to finish the painting in about one hour. Also, I made sure that the sun didn't hit my canvas or palette while I was painting.
