Last week for the first time we took the water taxi and our watercolours to the Nelson lighthouse. What a treat! The weather was gorgeous and so was the setting. Travelling with watercolours is so easy and with a few tricks charming pictures are created that are worth much more than a photo. In the class "Watercolour Journaling" you can learn all about it. Finally it is ready, "The Rugby Playing Kiwi"! The painting is 61x46cm large, watercolour on Arches watercolour paper. Currently it is at Copyart for scanning and it is scheduled to hang at Wall To Wall Art Gallery, Nelson mid February. It took a lot of research on Kiwi birds and rugby games until the final layout of the painting was determined. Where has this year gone? It feels like we have missed out on a lot of things we normally experience, e.g. international travel and visits from overseas. We have also learned a lot, especially about ZOOM, and values have been modified. All of a sudden Christmas is here and we are already planning the next year.
