Plein air painting was a bit different this time. We were at Ruby's Espresso on Akersten Street, Nelson, which had a lot of guests coming and going, ordering drinks and food, sitting down, chatting, reading, etc. Talk about a busy place. Meet us for plein air painting on 11th May 2022, 10am, at Ruby’s Coffee Cart, Akersten Street, Nelson. Driving down Akersten Street towards the marina Ruby’s coffee cart will come up on your left hand side. Toilets are in walking distance. Meet us for plein air painting on 4th May 2022, 10am, at Gravity Winery, 243 Old Coach Road. Gravity Winery offers views over the vineyard and the Nelson Bay towards the Richmond hills. You don't have to paint much to relay the story, right?! This picture shows that painting less can be sometimes more effective. What a treat painting the Janie Seddon in Motueka. As far as I know, the shipwreck is deteriorating fast and if you want to paint it, don't wait too long. Plein air painting is organised weekly on a Wednesday morning. It's free and a lot of fun.
