It's always special to hang artwork in your local community. The library is such a lovely building and although not very big, it has a great selection of books. The staff is so friendly and helpful, it's a real joy to go there. Until mid November the library will display about 13 of my paintings, which are mainly my plein air works. Last Saturday's palette knife workshop organised by the Art Group Nelson was fully booked. The participants learned different techniques when painting with the palette knife and accomplished various exercises followed by two paintings. The exercises focused on painting water (lake or see with gentle waves, rolling waves, reflections), trees and grasses, soft and loose edges.
